Solar Energy for Greener Communities

A solar rooftop system consists of various components that convert sunlight into electricity. Key components include:

• Solar panels with PV cells
• Solar inverters
• Mounting structures
• Cables (AC/DC)
• Combiner boxes and connectors

These systems are designed to supply clean energy to your home or business efficiently.

A rooftop solar system converts sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) cells.

1. Sunlight hits the PV cells, generating direct current (DC) electricity.
2. A solar inverter converts this DC electricity into alternating current (AC), usable for powering appliances.
3. Excess electricity can be fed back to the grid or stored in batteries.
4. A bidirectional meter tracks energy import/export, optimizing efficiency and savings.

To apply for a subsidy under the DBT scheme, follow these steps:

1. Visit the National Portal for Rooftop Solar.
2. Register via the Sandes app.
3. Allow a DISCOM official to assess technical feasibility.
4. Receive the No Objection Certificate (NOC).
5. Finalize your project with Neti Power Solutions.
6. Complete the installation and net metering process.
7. Submit bank details via the portal for subsidy credit.

The price of a rooftop solar system depends on its size:

• 1 kW: ₹70,000 – ₹1,10,000
• 2 kW: ₹1,40,000 – ₹1,80,000
• 3 kW: ₹1,80,000 – ₹2,40,000
• 5 kW: ₹3,00,000 – ₹4,00,000

Solar energy is an eco-friendly and cost-saving investment. It reduces electricity bills, lowers carbon emissions, and promotes sustainability. With solar power, you contribute to a cleaner environment while ensuring long-term savings.

Yes, solar panels generate electricity even during cloudy or rainy weather, although with reduced efficiency. This is factored into the energy estimates for your system.

On average, a 1 kW solar plant produces approximately 4 units of electricity per day, depending on factors like sunlight availability and system design

The size depends on:

• Your electricity consumption
• Available roof space
• Solar irradiation in your area
